Easter Basket time is just around the corner and there are tons of cheap chocolates and plastic grasses to go around all hoping for a spot in the ones your making, but this is your year to create something more magical and fun! This quick guide will give you some unique Easter Basket ideas that you and the little ones will love!

1) Easter Bunny LEGO Sets

LEGO has tons of different sets to choose from, including ones that could be a great addition to your Easter baskets! Some of my favorites include the LEGO Creator Bunny 3 in 1 set. This adorable bunny could also transform into a seal or a llama! Let your kiddos decide which they’d enjoy most! There are also plenty of LEGO Botanical sets to choose from as well like sunflowers and roses. These single stem sets may not be as engaging if you have an experienced LEGO artist on your hands, but they’ll be a wonderful gift for someone who’s just getting started with the hobby.
2) Easter Eggscavation Kit

This gift is PERFECT for your budding paleontologist! The Easter Eggscavation Kit contains 6 “dig kits” for the kids to get into. Each one contains a glow in the dark dinosaur figure or a gemstone to discover as well as all the tools needed for your eggscavation adventure. Each one comes individually incased, so you can hide them along with your other Easter eggs, split them into different baskets, or add them all in for that one special kid! Excavation is hard work though, so be prepared for a little bit of a mess!
3) Spring Time Accessories

If you have older kids that are getting into fashion and accessorizing this next gift will be a hit! This pack of hair clips comes with 6 different floral designs. Each clip is made from a metal alloy making quite a bit more durable than your average plastic hair clip. They are a bit larger than average, but not quite as wide. Make sure to add a hair tie or scrunchie if your giving these to someone with longer or thicker hair!
4) Easter Picture Books

If you’re trying to avoid too much candy or too many toys, picture books are always great gifts for kids. There are tons to choose from in stores and online! The kiddos can take to Pete the Cat and the Easter Basket Bandit and help to discover what may have happened to Pete’s Easter Basket! There are also fun cards, stickers, and posters included inside to keep the fun going! Peter Rabbit was one of my favorites as a kid and would also be a fun addition that would teach kids valuable lessons like honesty and the importance of listening to Mom and Dad!
5) Carrot Harvest Game

Of course I won’t forget about the babies; there are plenty of easter activities for them too! This carrot harvesting game is great for the little ones who are still learning their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination. This 3 in 1 game includes shape sorting and color matching as well. Its a great multi sensory learning tool!
9) Sidewalk Chalk

Chalk is always a fun go to once the sun comes out and the family is outside enjoying it! Your little artists will love creating new sidewalk art over and over again as April showers wash them away and bring in May flowers! My family always had pieces of Crayola Chalk lying around the house when I was a kid. This was one of my favorite ways to pass the time with my cousins and friends as our parents prepared the Easter meal on the grill.
6) Easter Egg Bath Bombs

After a long day of egg hunting and enjoying time with family, imagine the kiddos remembering they have a bath bomb in their Easter basket to end the day with! Each bath bomb in this set comes with its own color and scent along with a fun squishy toy inside. Just like the Eggscavation eggs, these too can be split into different baskets, hidden along with other eggs, or all given together in one large basket.
7) Bunny Floor Puzzles

Puzzles are a fun way to wind down on a energy filled day. This Mudpuppy Bunny Bouquet puzzle has a fun, brightly colored illustration, and on top of that its a scratch and sniff! Mudpuppy also has larger floor puzzles with uniquely shaped oversized pieces that are perfect for smaller children!
8) Snacks, Snacks, and More Snacks

No easter basket is complete without some snacks! If you’re trying to avoid snacks that are too sugary I’ve got some suggestions for that too! Fruit snacks or cheddar bites are a great option in place of candy. Annie’s has great options like their Cheddar Bunnies and Bunny fruit snacks that are both yummy additions to your Easter baskets.
If you’re ok with some extra sweets and don’t have any kiddos with allergies, there’s no shortage of cookies and candies available! Reese’s always releases their peanut butter eggs around this time of year. They are a favorite in my house and they taste just like the classic Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!
10) Customizable and/or Canvas Easter Baskets

Easter baskets can be rather fussy when it comes time to store them away for the next year. They’re often made of woven materials that come apart over time. Why not go an extra step further this year and choose a basket made from canvas that is made to last! Canvas baskets are easily folded away and they can be customized with embroidered or ironed on names, making them even more fun! They come in all different sizes and can be filled with as many or as little Easter goodies as you would like!
I hope some of the ideas in this guide have sparked joy and excitement for you in this year! Have a happy Easter!
